Good review Derek. Man, that thing is TINY! Looking forward to watching the uncensored review of you installing the motherboard. :D

I went with a Antec Micro Fusion Remote 350 Mini Desktop Chassis. Half desktop hight, full width and length and internal 300W Powersupply. It's HUGE compared to the CFI, and the input ports aren't as well hidden, but it does make a fairly sleek addition to the home entertainment rack.

Hello,

I know your review of the CFI case is old, but have you actually installed anything into it? I would like to hear an actual user comment on it, as I plan to put an Gigabyte D525TUD motherboard into this case. I also interested if the side ventillation grills could accept a bigger fan 6cm possibly for better cooling?

Thanks in advance.

@Gyorgy Bano, please see this Flickr set showing the motherboard installed in the case.

I also added a 80mm fan under the top cover, that pushes air out the vent near the back of the cover. But this only fitted because I have no CDROM installed.

I am very happy with the case.

Thanks, I really appreciate your quick answer, this looks something I should do as well, as I am planning to skip the optical drive part too.

Here I can only buy the 150W version, but according the internet the 5cm fan installed into that PSU noise level is 20dba which - while not silent - could be low enough for my purpose. For reference the PSU is cfi-s150x (at least according to google results)

BTW: What board have you installed?
